Man Dead in Collision With Semi-Truck in Redding
REDDING, CA (December 21, 2018) – A 60-year-old man from Redding was killed Wednesday when his car plowed into a big rig on the 5 Freeway near Knighton Road.
The victim’s name has not been released, but according to reports, the deadly incident happened on the southbound 5 Freeway when the man was driving his 2003 Toyota Camry. As he was headed south on the freeway around 8:35 p.m., California Highway Patrol said he swerved to the right between the off-ramp and the freeway lanes and struck an unoccupied parked big rig.
The driver died at the scene.
