Fresno County, CA (August 3, 2023) On Wednesday evening, a person died and 3 others were hurt in a rear-end collision on Clovis Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal 2-vehicle crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection with American Avenue.

Reports say that a Honda Civic collided with the back of a box truck. Officials say that the Honda was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.

Medics say that the Honda driver suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital, while the passengers suffered fatal injuries, officials pronounced the passenger dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the box truck occupants sustained minor injuries.
