Raul Gulliver Dead, Hector Polanco Detained Following DUI Collision on Grapefruit Boulevard Near Ed Mitchell Drive
COACHELLA, CA (April 29, 2019) – A Coachella man died in a DUI bicycle crash on Grapefruit Boulevard near Ed Mitchell Drive early Saturday.
According to reports, Coachella deputies responded to the scene around 2 a.m. Authorities determined that Hector Polanco struck a northbound bicyclist with his pickup truck as he headed southbound on Grapefruit Boulevard.
The gravely injured cyclist, whom the corner identified as 34-year-old Raul Gulliver, died at the scene.
Shortly after, Polanco of Coachella was arrested on suspicion of DUI and subsequently booked into the Indio jail.
