Ramon Sanchez Arrested in Rudsdale Street Fatal Collision [Oakland, CA]

Oakland, CA (March 18, 2022) – On Thursday, officers arrested 37-year-old Ramon Sanchez in a Rudsdale Street crash that killed a driver and his passenger.

Apparently, officers were trying to stop Sanchez who would not stop in the 1300 block of 76th Avenue. However, the authorities did not say why they were after Sanchez. 

Sanchez drove his vehicle southbound and collided with an eastbound car carrying the three people.

Responding officers pronounced the driver and his passenger dead at the crash scene minutes before 9 p.m. While the paramedics took the woman riding at the back of the car  to the hospital in stable condition.

Moreover, officers said Sanchez tried to run away after the crash. Luckily, officers were able to apprehend him.

Police arrested Sanchez on suspicion of hit-and-run, assault and evading arrest.
