Ramon Gonzalez Dies in Selma Dirt Bike Crash
SELMA, CA (November 19, 2018) – A 16-year-old Selma High School student was killed after his dirt bike crashed into a big rig on South Clovis Avenue and East Huntsman Avenue Saturday.
According to California Highway Patrol spokesperson Vic Taylor, 16-year-old Ramon Gonzalez was riding his dirt bike around 5 p.m. when he drove into a big rig.
Investigators believe the Selma teen was the lone occupant of the dirt bike that was on a trail along the roadway. Authorities further noted that he came from behind some trees to cross South Clovis Avenue when he struck the side of the semi-truck.
Gonzalez was a sophomore at Selma High School and was on the junior varsity football team. A GoFundMe page was created by his friends in honor to raise funds for his memorial.
