Raji Olalekan of Midland Injured in Highway 349 Fatal Collision [Midland County, TX]

Midland County, TX (July 25, 2023) – At about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Raji Olalekan, 36, of Midland, sustained injuries while Luis Castenada, 34, of Amarillo, was killed in a Highway 349 head-on collision.

A Ford F-150 driven by Luis Castenada was westbound on the freeway while a 2012 Peterbilt truck with a trailer driven by Raji Ganiyu Olalekan, was eastbound on the same freeway.

Suddenly, the F-150 drove into the eastbound lane and struck the2012 Peterbilt truck.

Midland Death Investigator Castanos declared Castenada at the scene while the responding medics rushed Olalekan to an area hospital in stable condition.
