Rafael Corte-Zulloa Detained Following South Lake Tahoe Bicycle Accident

 
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (July 18, 2019) – A hit-and-run driver struck a female cyclist on Lakeview Avenue at Lake Tahoe Boulevard Tuesday.
 
According to reports, the bicyclist suffered injuries after Rafael Aliberth Corte-Zulloa struck her with his dark-colored Audi A4. After that, paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Authorities found no sight of the suspected driver. However, police later located and arrested Corte-Zulloa in the 800 block of Los Angeles Avenue.
 
Per reports, officers booked the 18-year-old man into the El Dorado County Jail on a $10,000 bail. However, police did not release any additional details regarding the accident at this time.
