Rachel Hamm Hurt After Driver Crashes Into Residence on 192nd Street East Near 6th Avenue East
SPANAWAY, WA (January 4, 2019) – An 11-year-old girl escaped serious injury Friday when a driver plowed into her room on 192nd Street East near 6th Avenue East.
The incident happened when the driver of the truck was traveling westbound on 192nd Street East and lost control. The black Ford pickup truck plowed through a fence and careened across the backyard before striking the girl’s bedroom.
Rachel Hamm was reportedly lying on the top bunk of the bunk bed when the truck paraded through. She was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated and only suffered minor scrapes, bruises and soreness.
Details regarding why the driver lost control remain scant. However, investigators are seeking the cause of the crash.
