Police Chase Results in Collision, Arrest near East Planz Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 7, 2020) — A brief police pursuit ended in a crash at South Union Avenue and East Planz Road.
According to Bakersfield Police, officers tried pulling over a suspected stolen Honda around 6:05 p.m. However, the driver of the vehicle failed to comply with law enforcement and a pursuit unfolded.
The pursuit ended in a collision on South Union Avenue shortly after beginning. Details surrounding how the crash happened or whether other cars had been involved are currently unclear.
Officers arrested the male driver of the Honda and booked him into Juvenile Hall while one occupant ran on foot. Police detained two others, but reports did not indicate whether officers released them.
