Motorist Injured in DUI Crash With CHP Car in Placentia
PLACENTIA, CA (February 26, 2019) – A DUI driver was injured Sunday when his vehicle slammed into a California Highway Patrol vehicle as the officer was making an arrest on Orangethorpe Avenue at the 57 Freeway.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. The officer had just pulled over a DUI motorist and was attempting to put the person in the rear seat when his patrol vehicle was struck by another car.
The officer and the first driver were uninjured but the driver of the second car, who was believed to be under the influence, suffered minor injuries.
