Bakersfield Semi-Truck Crash on 5 Freeway
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 10, 2019) – A pickup truck and semi-truck were involved in a crash on 5 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Highway 166. Reports showed that the truck collided with the back of a Ford F550 carrying trailer full of construction equipment.
The paramedics confirmed that four people treated at the scene due to the commotion. Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries in the incident.
The roads were closed to give way to rescue and clearing operations in the area. Kern Public Health sent a hazmat crew to the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other details were released by the authorities.
