Phyllis Kimmel Dies after Crash on 43rd Avenue and Baseline Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (July 1, 2022) – Friday afternoon, 68-year-old Phyllis Kimmel died, and two people sustained injuries in a crash on 43rd Avenue and Baseline Road.

The fatal crash in Phoenix happened at around 1:00 p.m. on July 1.

Phoenix Police said a vehicle heading east struck Kimmel’s that was going west on Baseline Road and turning onto the southbound lanes of 43rd Avenue.

Kimmel died at the crash scene. The teenage passenger in her sedan sustained injuries and transported to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, EMS also took the other driver to a hospital with significant injuries.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
