Phillip Barragan Killed, Dalton Bolinas Arrested in Gardena Accident on Artesia Boulevard

 
Gardena, CA (December 23, 2020) – On Tuesday, Phillip Barragan, 64, died while Dalton Bolinas, 19, was arrested in for the crash on Artesia Boulevard and Western Avenue.
 
The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. wherein the suspect vehicle ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
 
The driver of the crashed vehicle, Mr. Barragan, died at the scene.
 
Moreover, the authorities arrested the suspect vehicle’s driver and its passenger. Then, they took them to a hospital in unknown condition.
 
Later reports say that Torrance resident Dalton Bolinas fled a traffic stop conducted by a Gardena police officer.
 
That is when he collided with Phillip Barragan’s vehicle.
 
Gardena police Lt. Chris Cuff reported that they arrested Bolinas for vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence, and grand theft auto.
