Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Driver in Mecca
MECCA, CA (January 2, 2020)—A pedestrian crash near Hayes Street and 71st Avenue left a person with critical injuries Tuesday morning.
According to Cal Fire, the accident unfolded around 8:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found a victim underneath a vehicle.
Responding with haste, paramedics transported the unidentified patient to a hospital with critical injuries.
It is unclear at this point what drove the crash or whether the driver of the vehicle had been cited or arrested. However, authorities plan to investigate further.
