Person Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Accident on 5 Freeway
Los Angeles, CA (January 03, 2021) – On New Year’s Day, a person died in a tragic pedestrian accident on 5 Freeway.
The fatal crash took place at around 11:10 p.m. in the Cypress Park area.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol that a vehicle struck a pedestrian south of the Arroyo Seco Parkway.
When responders arrived, the paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 11:35 P.M.

Authorities canceled the SigAlert at 3:19 a.m. and reopened all lanes.
