Man Airlifted to Hospital After Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway

 
Victorville, CA (December 5, 2020) – On Tuesday, a man was seriously injured in a vehicle crash on 15 Freeway.
 
The crash happened at about 6:41 a.m. north of the Bear Valley Road on-ramp. It involved two vehicles.
 
California Highway Patrol said it is possible that the victim was ejected from the vehicle. He was bleeding from the head.
 
When responders arrived, they found a green VW Beetle with major rear-end damage and an overturned four-door sedan with front end damage.
 
Victorville City Fire requested an air ambulance to airlift one victim with critical injuries to an out of area trauma center.
 
Minutes later, Mercy Air 22 landed at a nearby helipad and airlifted the injured driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
 
The authorities temporarily closed the involved lane of the freeway. As a result, traffic backed up for many to the Main Street bridge in Hesperia.
