Highway 115 Two-Vehicle Collision Injures Two
El Centro, CA (December 24, 2021) – On Wednesday, two people suffered injuries in a Highway 115 vehicle crash.
Officers said they received the crash report at 2:20 p.m. at the intersection with Hoyt Road.
Apparently, a pickup truck crashed with a side-by-side off-road vehicle.
As a result, two occupants in the off-road vehicle sustained injuries. The emergency rescuers airlifted one of them to Desert Regional Medical Center. Then, they took the other to El Centro Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the officers are investigating this traffic collision.
Start by inspecting your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals, be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.
Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.
Most importantly, stay focused while on the road. Remove all distractions that could cause accidents such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.
Injuries in Traffic Accidents
California’s road accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are a major public health threat. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life.
That is why knowing what to do if you get involved in a motor vehicle accident plays a big part in one’s life.
