Pedro Arroyo Killed in Devastating 5-Vehicle Crash on South Interstate 35 [Austin, TX]

1 Dead in Austin Multi-Vehicle Accident on South Interstate 35

AUSTIN, TX (August 22, 2024) – Thursday night, Pedro Arroyo died in a devastating 5-vehicle crash on South Interstate 35.

The incident involving five vehicles happened at about 11:27 p.m. last August 15th in the 12500 block of South Interstate 35.

Meanwhile, the driver, 30-year-old Arroyo, was taken to a nearby hospital but tragically passed away two days later. 

Then, the passengers in another vehicle were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the occupants of the remaining three vehicles involved did not report any injuries. 

This accident represents Austin’s 56th fatal crash of 2024.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
