Fatal Hesperia Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road

 
HESPERIA, CA (November 18, 2019) — A Saturday night pedestrian accident left one person dead on the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road.
 
The incident unfolded around 8:13 p.m. On the southbound side of the 15 Freeway, a witness reported seeing a man climb over a barrier and dash into the traffic lanes. The unidentified pedestrian died after multiple vehicles struck him.
 
The San Bernardino County Fire arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead. Due to the fatality, the no. 1 and 2 lanes had to be shut down for investigations. However, the lanes opened soon after.
 
It is not certain what drove the man to run across the freeway lanes. However, an investigation continues.
