Woman Using Walker Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 5, 2019) – A 60-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday when a hit-and-run driver struck her at University and Marlborough avenues.
San Diego Police officers are seeking the whereabouts of a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
According to reports, the incident happened after 5 a.m. Crews immediately issued a SigAlert at the intersection.
The 60-year-old woman suffered two broken legs as she was using her walker to cross University Avenue in a marked crosswalk.
Per San Diego Police, the vehicle involved was said to be a white or light gray-colored pickup truck with a black roof rack. Witnesses last saw it heading northbound on the 15 Freeway.
