87-Year-Old Man Dies in Bus Crash on San Ysidro Boulevard

San Ysidro, CA (October 15, 2021) – On Friday evening, an 87-year-old male pedestrian died in a crash on San Ysidro Boulevard.

The fatal crash in San Ysidro Boulevard happened at about 6:40 p.m. on October 15, at East San Ysidro Boulevard and Virginia Avenue just a few blocks north of the international border.

San Diego police said the charter bus, driven by a 71-year-old man, headed north on San Ysidro Boulevard when the pedestrian stumbled into the roadway just south of the intersection.

The pedestrian died at the scene. Police have yet to release his name.
