SACRAMENTO, CA (May 5, 2024) – Saturday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near Arena Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 5 near Arena Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai struck a male pedestrian who attempted to cross the freeway from the right-hand shoulder.

Moreover, responders pronounced the victim, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Hyundai to a hospital with lacerations to the face.
