MADERA, CA (May 14, 2019) – A pedestrian died Sunday in a hit-and-run crash on East Cleveland Avenue near North D Street.
 
Authorities are investigating the cause of the 12:30 a.m. collision.
 
According to reports, crews blocked off the road for several hours due to investigations.
 
It’s uncertain at this point where the pedestrian was struck. His or her identity has not been released as of Sunday afternoon due to the ongoing investigation.
 
The driver who struck the victim reportedly fled the scene shortly after. Unfortunately, officials did not indicate the make or model of the vehicle involved.
