Person Hospitalized after Train Collision near Evelyn Avenue in Mountain View
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (October 1, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered injuries in a train collision near Evelyn Avenue, Tuesday evening.
According to Caltrain, the incident happened at about 7:47 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a pedestrian was walking on the tracks of the Mountain View station. There, southbound train #284 struck the victim.
Emergency responders rendered aid to the pedestrian at the scene. A short time later, they rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injuries. The victim’s current condition remains unknown.
As per reports, the train had 77 passengers on board at the time of the accident. They were not injured.
Caltrain will release additional information once it becomes available.
