Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Hit-and-Run Car in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 17, 2020) — A person suffered major injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Shannon Drive near Aegean Avenue in early December.
According to the police department, a person was standing outside his vehicle along Shannon Drive near Golden Valley High School on Dec. 6. Surveillance footage captured a driver striking the man before fleeing the scene.
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian suffered major injuries.
As of late, the identity and whereabouts of the driver have not been determined by officials. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a 2000 to 2006 white Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon with black trim on its sides.
