Teen Pedestrian Hospitalized after Car Accident in San Marcos

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (February 5, 2019) – On Tuesday night around 8:50 PM, a 19-year-old pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run car accident on Borden Road near Palomar College.
 
As per reports, the victim was crossing the road outside the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a dark-colored, older model Toyota pickup truck. After hitting the victim, the truck fled the scene before police or emergency responders arrived to the scene.
 
First responders arrived at the scene and transported a victim who suffered major injuries to a nearby hospital. The status of the pedestrian’s current medical condition has not yet been disclosed.
 
The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public. No further details have been disclosed to the public as the investigation continues.
