SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 8, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on West Carrillo Street last June 27th.
 
The incident happened at about midnight when a driver struck a pedestrian. Moreover, it happened in the 200 block of West Carrillo Street.
 
According to reports, the driver escaped the crash scene. When the police came, they found the pedestrian lying in the road with serious injuries.
 
Thus, responders took the victim to Cottage Hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities described the hit-and-run vehicle as an early to mid-2000s Toyota pick-up truck, either a Tacoma or Tundra.
 
Also, the front grill of the Toyota emblem fell from the truck and was seen in the area. The crash also damaged one of the headlights of the vehicle.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
