MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (November 5, 2019) – A person died in an auto-pedestrian crash on 17 Freeway on November 2.
 
The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on 17 Freeway southbound near Rock Springs, north of New River.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located the pedestrian on the shoulder of the highway. Meanwhile, the cause of the collision is still unknown.
 
Authorities shut down the southbound lanes of the highway during the investigation. Police did not provide any additional information at this time. However, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
