71-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Hospitalized after Dump-Truck Accident near 12th Avenue
SEATTLE, WA (June 20, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian suffered injuries Tuesday night in a dump-truck collision on East Pine Street, near 12th Avenue.
Authorities received reports of the accident around 6:00 p.m. First responders arrived in the 1200 block of East Pine Street shortly after. According to reports, incident happened while the man was on the sidewalk.
A flatbed dump-truck struck the 71-year-old before crashing into a nearby building on East Pine Street. The unidentified victim suffered non-life-threatening yet serious injuries and sought treatment at Harborview Medical Center.
Per reports, the building sustained only cosmetic damage. Authorities plan to investigate the details pertaining to this accident to ascertain a cause.
