Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in San Francisco Crash
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 28, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning when a commercial vehicle struck the victim at 2nd and Bryant streets.
The crash that happened just before 7 a.m. resulted in one injury.
According to police spokesman Officer Robert Rueca, the driver of the commercial vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. As far as traffic goes, the intersection remained closed as of 8 a.m. while crews investigated.
At this time, authorities are investigating the details concerning how the incident happened and where the fault lies.
Drivers should be increasingly aware of their surroundings and yield to pedestrians. That said, pedestrians are also encouraged to cross only when it is safe to do so. Whether we are pedestrians or drivers, if we remember to be alert and defensive, we can avoid dangerous road accidents.
