Man Injured in Ventura Pedestrian Accident
VENTURA, CA (June 24, 2019) – A man suffered injuries on Friday after hit by car on Highway 126 near South Victoria Avenue.
The 4:52 a.m. incident occurred on the eastbound lanes, say reports. Per CHP officers, an unknown car struck the pedestrian after multiple vehicles tried navigating around the pedestrian moments prior.
However, police did not released many details about why the pedestrian was in the road. In addition, officials do not know how many cars are involved in the accident.
According to the California Highway Patrol, firefighters responded to find a victim on the ground with minor injuries. Paramedics shuttled the victim to a local hospital for immediate attention.
Due to the incident, Highway 126 snarled traffic near the Highway 101 junction.
