DUI Driver Strikes, Injures Woman in Scottsdale

 
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (December 20, 2019) — An alleged DUI driver struck and injured a female pedestrian on North 68th Street near East Thomas Road Wednesday night.
 
Emergency crews responded to calls about a crash around 9:00 p.m. According to the Scottsdale Police Department, a driver traveling northbound struck the woman, who crossed 68th Street mid-block.
 
Due to the extent of her injuries, paramedics rushed her to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
Officers subsequently arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
