Pedestrian Crash in San Diego Turns Deadly
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 3, 2019)—A pedestrian died Monday night after being struck by a vehicle at Valley Road and Calle Abajo.
According to the National City Police Department, the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. between Sweetwater Road and Reo Drive.
The National City police began performing life-saving efforts on the gravely injured victim before fire officials took over. However, despite these efforts, the victim died shortly after.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police questioning. The details of the accident, such as whether the pedestrian had been inside a crosswalk or where the fault lies, are unclear.
