Pedestrian Accident in Lemon Grove on Highway 94
LEMON GROVE, CA (February 4, 2020) – A man was killed after he was hit in a pedestrian accident on Highway 94 near College Avenue Sunday night.
California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Garrow said the incident took place around 9:05 p.m., along the westbound side of the highway.
According to Garrow, the man reportedly stepped out from the right shoulder of the freeway and walked into a 2010 Toyota RAV4’s trajectory.
The unidentified victim died at the scene and neither his name nor age was available.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old woman driving the Toyota stayed at the scene. Officers ruled out impairment on her part only, but an ongoing investigation exploring other factors continues.
