Dealing With Fatal Hit-And-Runs
In the case of wrongful death, it is crucial that the family are aware of their rights under the law. There may have the right to file a lawsuit against the people responsible for the loss of their loved one. Those closest to the victim may have the right to seek compensation for their loss. This includes funeral expenses, medical bills, and the “loss of consortium”. Generally, loss of consortium means the deprivation of future affection and companionship over an untimely death.
The last thing most families want to deal with is piles of paperwork, questions from insurance companies or defense attorneys, and attempting to obtain police reports.
Mark Sweet, an award-winning attorney said, “The most valuable step a family can take in response to a serious accident is hiring an attorney. A wrongful death case can help your family find closure, while securing your future from further losses.”
Mark adds, “Our firm works tirelessly to ensure that the people we work for are granted the highest restitution possible,”
