Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Oxnard Boulevard Claims a Life [Oxnard, CA]

65-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Citrus Grove Lane

Oxnard, CA (May 13, 2023) On Thursday evening, a pedestrian crash on Oxnard Boulevard claimed the life of a 65-year-old woman.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the auto-pedestrian collision happened at the intersection with Citrus Grove Lane around 10:37 p.m.

Reports say that a southbound 2003 Ford Expedition struck the woman in the roadway north of the intersection.

Authorities say that rescuers transported the woman to Ventura County Medical Center, however, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified as a 26-year-old male Oxnard resident, stayed at the scene.

Officials are investigating the probable cause of the auto-pedestrian collision.
