Pedestrian Crash on North Main Street Kills Man [Belton, TX]

Belton, TX (May 27, 2023) On Friday morning, a man died in a pedestrian crash on North Main Street.

According to the Benton Police Department (BPD), the fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 6:13 a.m. near the intersection at North Main Street and MLK.

Reports say that a vehicle struck a male pedestrian crossing North Main Street.

First responders attempted life-saving measures to the injured man at the scene, medics transported the man to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, the man later was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian accident and have not released additional information at this time.
