1 Hospitalized in Cajon Pass Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway
CAJON PASS, CA (December 10, 2019) – A person is in critical condition after a pedestrian crash on 15 Freeway on December 8.
The incident occurred at 8:09 p.m. on the northbound 15 Freeway just north of Mathews Ranch Road. In addition, police stated it happened between Kenwood Avenue and Blue Cut.
CHP revealed that a female driver of a silver Lexus RS350 hit the pedestrian. The preliminary details revealed that a witness reported a white 4-door sedan stopped in the middle of lanes. In addition, the driver showed signs of intoxication.
The male then escaped the white vehicle and got hit by a silver Lexus RS350.
“We responded to a man down in front of a vehicle in the fast lane. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center,” Eric Sherwin, Public Information Officer for San Bernardino County Fire revealed.
The incident led officials closed all lanes and briefly issued a SigAlert.
By 9:09 p.m., the lanes of traffic reopened.
