Texas DPS Investigates Violent Auto-Pedestrian Accident on Highway 80

Grand Saline, TX (October 27, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a pedestrian collision on Highway 80 left a person with serious injuries and a portion of Highway 80 near Grand Saline closed.

According to the Grand Saline Fire Department, the auto-pedestrian accident happened around 12:50 p.m. on the 4000 block of Highway 80.

Reports say that a vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian. Officials say that eastbound traffic on the highway was blocked due to the incident.

DPS is investigating the auto-pedestrian accident and has not provided additional information at this time.
