Patricia Grady of Riverside Fatally Struck on 91 Freeway [Riverside, CA]

Riverside, CA (December 16, 2023) – 44-year-old Patricia Grady of Riverside was fatally struck by a minivan on 91 Freeway Monday.

Officers said it was just past 8 p.m. when the fatal crash happened on the eastbound freeway just west of Van Buren Boulevard.

Investigators said several motorists passed Grady who was running inside of the traffic lanes.

Officers said a Kia Sedona struck the victim in the slow lane. The driver stopped right away and attempted to render first aid.

CHP and Riverside Fire Department paramedics arrived within minutes and declared Grady dead at the scene 10 minutes later.

The authorities are still investigating as to why she was running on the freeway.
