FRESNO, CA (May 19, 2024) – Saturday morning, authorities reported injuries following an alarming hit-and-run crash on Highway 180 near Highway 41.

The incident happened at around 11:00 a.m. on westbound Highway 180, at the connector leading to northbound Highway 41.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Kia sedan struck a Ford SUV for still unknown reasons. Then, at least two occupants of the Kia fled the scene after the collision.

Moreover, responders transported a passenger of the Kia to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Ford was not hurt in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
