Paramedic Injured in 91 Freeway Crash Near Adams Street [Riverside, CA]

1 Hurt Following Multi-Car Crash in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 8, 2019) – A paramedic suffered minor injuries Wednesday when a big rig struck a fire engine and an ambulance on the 91 Freeway near Adams Street.
 
According to officials, a Riverside fire engine and an ambulance pulled over to tend to a car that had driven off the side of the 91 Freeway. Meanwhile, a tractor-trailer struck the two vehicles before veering off the side of the freeway, as well.
 
The 10 p.m. crash left a paramedic with minor injuries and the fire engine and ambulance with major damage.
 
At this time, officials are investigating the ultimate cause of this incident.
 
When driving on highways and freeways, keep a close eye on the shoulder and other nearby cars. You may chance upon disabled vehicles and pedestrians. If possible, switch lanes for security and safety. Driving slowly around stationary vehicles is also a helpful way to keep it safe.
