Man Dies After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Motorist in Palmdale
PALMDALE, CA (January 25, 2019) – A man was killed just moments after being struck and pinned by a hit-and-run driver in the 38500 block of 35th Street East near Avenue Q-6 Thursday.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Arriving crews learned that a man, believed to be a 27-year-old Hispanic male, was struck and pinned by a champagne-colored SUV.
Deputies surmised that the incident stemmed from a family altercation and precipitated when one person hopped into the SUV and drove toward the man, pinning him against a home. The suspect then fled the scene, authorities said.
The victim was brought to a nearby hospital where he died shortly after.
