Fatal Three-Car Collision in Palmdale
PALMDALE, CA (January 14, 2019) – One person was killed, and three others were hospitalized Saturday following a three-car collision at Pearblossom Highway and Small Road.
Around 2:44 p.m., officials responded to reports of a major injury crash.
According to Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Ron Singleton, one person was pronounced dead at the scene while a 60-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were in moderate condition and brought to a local trauma center.
A 19-year-old victim was hospitalized with minor injuries.
News reports say one sedan overturned down an embankment onto the train tracks. A red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Chevrolet Suburban SUV were also involved.
Authorities had to shut down Metrolink’s Antelope Valley train 265 from Los Angeles to Lancaster for several minutes as they investigated the scene. The details surrounding the deadly crash or cause for it was unavailable.
