Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Pacheco

 
PACHECO, CA (February 7, 2019) – A man perished Wednesday morning when he was struck by a vehicle on Aspen Drive near Brown Drive.
 
The 7:53 a.m. crash happened in the unincorporated Contra Costa County, according to sheriff’s deputies.
 
Emergency crews were dispatched to find a pedestrian unresponsive and pronounced him dead at the scene around 8:05 a.m.
 
Investigators believe the pedestrian walked into the roadway and directly into the path of the oncoming southbound Nissan Cube.
 
The driver was not said to be under the influence, but it was not clear whether the pedestrian was.
