Oscar Ontiveros Arrested for DUI and Hit-and-Run Following Accident on East Ocean Boulevard Near Falcon Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (March 8, 2019) – Officers arrested a police department sergeant on suspicion of DUI following Tuesday’s hit-and-run crash on East Ocean Boulevard near Falcon Avenue.
According to Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Shaunna Dandoy, officers arrived at the 1500 block of East Ocean Boulevard around 7:20 p.m. There, officials found two cars hit with no vehicle in sight. Fortunately, no one was hurt as both cars were unoccupied.
Shortly after, officers received a call from a passerby reporting a vehicle that matched the suspect’s description. Officers responded to the 200 block of Alamitos Avenue and found the driver seemingly intoxicated.
Officers then arrested Oscar Ontiveros, 46, of San Pedro who is assigned to the Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division. Police brought him into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run without injury and DUI.
Following the accident, investigators reported no injuries.
