Four-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Killed Orlando Reyes
Snohomish County, WA (December 24, 2020) – On Thursday, 30-year-old Orlando Reyes of Everett died in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.
The fatal crash occurred at about 6:30 a.m. when the vehicles crashed amid icy conditions north of Marine View Drive in Everett.
Reyes, the driver of one of the vehicles was thrown in the crash and killed at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt during the incident.
Similarly, a preliminary investigation found that Reyes lost control as he headed north on Interstate 5 in the fast lane. He then crashed into the left barrier.
Subsequently, a second vehicle drove around Reyes’ car on the left shoulder and a third vehicle slammed into Reyes’ vehicle.
As a result, Reyes’ car plowed into the second vehicle.
Just then, a fourth vehicle swerved to avoid the other vehicles but it crashed into the guardrail.
Moreover, the authorities blocked two left lanes of the freeway at the scene during the initial investigation but have been reopened.
