Major Damages Sustained as Four Vehicles Collide near Reseda Boulevard

TARZANA, CA (November 27, 2018) – On Tuesday evening, one person was rescued in a multi-car crash on Highway 101.

According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:06 PM, just east of Reseda Boulevard. Authorities recovered at least four vehicles, which were identified as a Nissan SUV, a Honda Accord, a black Toyota Matrix, and an unknown car.

Paramedics were requested to the scene for needed medical attention. Based on an initial report, the driver of the Toyota was slumped over the steering wheel when first responders arrived. No additional information was released regarding the victim’s condition. The Toyota and Honda sustained major damages, while the Nissan had moderate damage to it.

A SigAlert was issued closing the No. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway, while a clearing operation was performed in the area. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation, and additional information will be released to the public once it becomes available.
