One Killed in Pedestrian Accident near 8 Freeway [San Diego, CA]

Fatal Vehicle and Pedestrian Accident near Taylor Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 8, 2019) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident near 8 Freeway westbound on early Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Taylor Street at approximately 5:56 PM.
 
Reports from the San Diego Fire Department said that the pedestrian was walking at the intersection when a vehicle approached and hit them.
 
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver also suffered major injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
 
Neither the driver nor the pedestrian victim immediately identified by the police. As of this time, officials did not release any additional information regarding the accident. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
