Tanker Truck Crashes on Highway 145 in Coalinga, Fatality Reported

 
COALINGA, CA (November 18, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a traffic accident involving a tanker truck Monday morning in Coalinga.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 5:00 a.m. on Highway 145 at South Colusa Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a fuel tanker truck was filled to capacity when it collided with a car. As a result, at least one occupant died at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP officials closed the Highway 145 while they collected the evidence from the scene.
 
Further investigation of this crash is underway.
